The annual yellow woundwort grows freely on meadows and blossoms in summer months, from June to September. It is highly melliferous, providing up to 10-12 kg of honey per bee family. It is widespread from Europe to Iran and Siberia. It has been also introduced to North America.
The annual yellow woundwort monofloral honey is a rare honey type, as the plant grows along with many other plants, so it is difficult to find a large area where it grows predominantly, so that a monofloral honey should be obtained.
