Vaccinium is a genus comprising several species generically referred to as “cranberries”. They might be similar, but not identical. British, American or Scandinavian cranberries are fruits that are often confused, however they are different species. Lingonberry is native to taiga and tundra areas, but can grow as far South as the Baltic countries.

Lingonberry honey is rare. It is fragrant, fruity, and remains liquid for a long time. It is somehow similar to the cloudberry honey, but slightly less fragrant.
