Blackberry bushes grow wild, especially in hilly and mountainous areas, but are also cultivated for their berries. It is a common plant, with many species and varieties, and adapts easily to different climates.

The blackberry honey crystallizes very finely and is fragrant, with a lingering, very pleasant aftertaste. It is not a common honey, as in the wild blackberry blossoms compete with many melliferous plants, which makes it difficult to obtain a monofloral honey.
